How to Protect Your Instagram Account from Hackers

Instagram account hacking is increasingly common. Protecting your account requires proactive security measures and awareness of common attack vectors.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication

This is the single most effective security measure. Go to Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication and enable it using an authentication app (preferred over SMS).

Create a Strong Password

• Use at least 12 characters
